It’s taken me more than two years to get to this entry about The Future of Work - How we Learn, and it’s been a fascinating thing to reflect on what has changed in the world since then.

Capturing the essence of something that is constantly changing and evolving into a document can be a folly, at times it feels like writing on a whiteboard is even too permanent for how fast ideas may be moving. Over time we often find that what we document begins to misrepresent the truth. 

We created this poster in response to the many frustrations we hear from our community and clients about how difficult it is to embed agility, adaptiveness and all the crucial elements that are needed to empower teams to deliver amazing outcomes for their businesses.

Great digital teams are at the forefront of understanding this and you’ve probably experienced some of their products. Those where every interaction from the sign up experience, to payment, to interactions with their product is easy and sometimes enjoyable. They make your life better and help you solve your problems.

I was at a Saturday meetup recently, the 10th birthday of the Melbourne Scrum and Agile user group. 10 years since this group came together, many conferences have spawned from the group of over 4,000 members of what must be one of the most enduring Agile communities in Melbourne.  

The world is changing and being disrupted at every turn. To succeed today and into the future, your business needs the ability to quickly adapt and deal with complexity, be constantly innovating and perform better than your competitors. New structures are needed for this, which is where empowered, self organising teams come in.
