The Weekly ReBoot - Mini Hack #16 Measure your Cycle Time

The Weekly ReBoot your regular Friday de-brief of things we’ve heard and seen coming from the Agile Community here in Melbourne and beyond.

Well today it’s another mini hack and we’re talking Cycle time folks, what is it? Why measure it? How do measure it? You should, because this one simple trick could unlock a bunch of potential improvements for you and your team.

I was inspired to record this mini hack, and perhaps as a small teaser, I caught up with Adam Boas last week the Engineering Chapter Lead for The ANZ Mobile application, and that interview will be coming soon. One of the things he spoke of had me face palming straight away and the following Monday I was annoying people all over the place asking what their cycle time is.

Cycle Time is the time it takes a piece of work to get from first being worked on to being delivered.

Focus on reducing cycle time and removing bottle necks for your team!
