One outcome from the COVID-19 crisis is organisations recognising that “zombie” mindsets and practices are no longer sustainable and that to successfully move forward there needs to be change. Turns out us humans aren’t at all good at doing two things at once. Each time we switch tasks our brain needs time to re-calibrate which adds to our mental load, slows our productivity, but most of all takes away from our sense of satisfaction.
